Frank Istueta of Istueta Roofing Has Become A Ludowici Roof Tile Certified Crown Roofer!

November was a great month here at Istueta Roofing. We got to attend a Ludowici training that made your local Istueta roof installer a certified Ludowici Crown Roofer.

When you think of roofing the word beauty may not be the first to come to mind (of course for us it is!), but the craftsmanship of Ludowici truly has charm, elegance and style. Of course, they’ve had time to work on perfection and originality having hundreds of years of experience.

The company’s roots actually go back to the 1600’s where the Ludovisi family built their reputation as quality tile artisans of Rome. The Ludovisi’s moved to Germany where they began crafting roof tile under Ludowici, and in the 1800’s Ludowici made its way to Chicago to share their skilled art with America.

Ludowici has received numerous awards for their craftsmanship, with the 2005 ACE (Architect’s Choice for Excellence) Award being but one example of just how distinguished and superb Ludowici products really are.

Ludowici Training

The crew of Istueta Roofing got to see the skill of Ludowici first-hand by visiting the corporate office in Ohio. We learned about their selection of roofing tiles, trim fittings, underlayment and fastener’s, and then they showed us how to work and detail their variety of tiles.

We received detailed hands-on training on how to measure, layout, cut, notch and replace their clay roofing tile. The training was invaluable because clay roofing tiles are rather delicate in comparison to the lower-quality asphalt shingles that are so common today.

The installation and upkeep of Ludowici Tiles take know-how and care. Ludowici passed their experience and expertise on to us so we can do just that. Now you may not think of clay as durable, but Ludowici clay tiles can last over 100 years (they come with a 75 year warranty). We’re pleased to have the training to handle and install such a quality-product here in Miami.

 

Crown Roofer Certified

When we left Ohio we had our Ludowici Crown Roofer certificates in hand. The handling of such a fine product is no simple task, so we couldn’t be happier to have the skill and experience to be Ludowici-Certified. We take pride in doing quality roofing work with quality products and, as you can see, Ludowici’s clay roofing tiles are the epitome of magnificence.

I’ve been in the roofing business for over 25 years, so I know quality when I see it. If you’re playing around with the idea of a tile roof, then you have every reason to look at Ludowici’s dignified roofing products because they’re worth every penny.
